Job Description:
We’re looking for a full-time, on-site Bookkeeper to join our team in Rome. The detail-oriented person will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly reports, and analyzing accounting data. This role involves ensuring the integrity of financial processes and compliance with internal policies.
Responsibilities:
Record and manage vendor invoices
Issue and track customer invoices
Perform regular account and intercompany reconciliations
Prepare and process payments in a timely manner
Manage fixed assets, including depreciation and reconciliation
Reconcile credit card transactions and statements
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
Monitor and analyze profit and cost centers (e.g., revenue, capacity, travel, employee costs)
Handle monthly provisions and prepaid expenses
Post journal entries as required by the Head of Accounting
Ensure accurate and timely posting of all journal entries
Oversee invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
Bank Transactions: Record all transactions and perform reconciliations
Credit Cards: Book invoices and reconcile statements
European Invoices: Book all invoices excluding direct costs
General Ledger: Perform GL reconciliations across all entities
Requirements:
5+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a international environment
Knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and invoice processing
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Experience with intercompany transactions, cost center tracking, fixed asset management
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
Fluent in English; Italian language skills are a plus
